Before the Job - We'll recommend strategies to help you choose just the right colors and paints. We will help you imagine options/solutions you might not have considered. We'll clearly communicate what you need to do to prepare the space for our arrival.
Teardown & Prep - In this step, we'll remove wallplates, register covers, handrails, smoke detector covers, nails you don't want to reuse and other items as needed. We'll make sure furniture is moved to the center of the room and covered. We will mask woodwork and cover flooring. Finally, we'll attempt to clean off any previous overpaint we find on door, window and floor trim.
Repair - We will fill holes, scratches, cracks, nicks & dings. Each of these will be sanded smooth. Then we'll use a pole sander to lightly sand the walls from top to bottom, removing small bumps, particles and dust ensuring a smooth final finish. All repairs will be covered with primer prior to painting the topcoat.
Application - First, we will use ceiling paint to touch up any areas where previous wall paint was overpainted. Doors, windows, baseboards, corners and ceilings are hand cut with by brush. One or two top coats will be applied as needed. Each paint comes with it's own qualities and application methods. We apply all material based on interactions provided by paint manufacturers. We work closely with experts at our local Sherwin Williams to ensure we're acting on the best information.
Cleanup - Every estimate includes complete cleanup. We will leave nothing behind, and do our best to leave your space cleaner than we found it.

Power Washing - This first step removes visible mold, dirt, spider webs and that invisible layer of pollution that has built up over the years. After power washing, your home will need 1-2 days to completely dry out before applying paint.
Repairs - Areas with failing wood will be replaced. Holes, gouges, scratches and other imperfections will be filled with the correct filler and sanded smooth.
Peeling Paint - This process removes any existing failed coats and peeling/chipping paint using a combination of hand & power tools. While we don't attempt to remove ALL the previous paint, our goal is to remove any existing loose paint along with any layers that might fail within the next few years.
Primer & Caulking - We apply one coat of high quality primer to all exposed areas. Primer acts as a sealant. It bonds to the substrate and ensures adhesion & uniform appearance of the topcoat. It also covers water stains and any other material that might be present. Caulking is a sealant that fills gaps, cracks, nail holes and other imperfections on the surface.
Masking & Coverup - We mask to protect from splatter, drip & overspray. We cover plants, roofing, decking, patio lights, weather stripping, windows, fences, gas & electricity meters, water spigots, brick/rocks, power outlets, garage door keypads, doorbells, and other areas as needed.
